Our office accepts the following methods of payment: Cash, Check, Money Order, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card, and Debit Card.

There is basically four ways to hire an attorney:

The first and most common is the hourly rate (i.e. 250.00 per hour). As the attorney works, he tracks his time and sends you a bill for the time spent on the case. Usually, “a retainer” or an advance on the fees is paid. For example, you paid 1,000 dollar retainer for 4 hours of anticipated work (at 250.00 per hour).  Expenses incurred during your case are also added to your bill such as filing fees and witness fees.

The second way to hire an attorney is a flat rate.  One fee covers all aspects or a specific service.  For example, 1,500.00 is the retainer for a matter on a flat rate.  If the attorney spends 10 hours or 15 hours on the case, you have paid the fee in full.  This is common for criminal matters and basic bankruptcy cases.

The third way to hire an attorney is a blended fee.  For example, some aspects of the case are a flat rate and extra billing will be charged if additional work beyond what is described is done.

The forth way to hire an attorney is a contingent fee. For example, the attorney is paid a percentage of the amount recovered. This is typical in collection actions and personal injury matters.  The client pays nothing to start the case. Our office will try and provide you with fee information over the phone. The more specific the situation the more specific we can be about the fees being charged. Typically fees are charged as follows:
