Michigan Disorderly Person Laws
MCLA 750.167: The "Disorderly Person" Definition
Under Michigan law, you can be deemed a disorderly person for various actions, including:
- Public intoxication that endangers safety or causes a disturbance.
- Indecent or obscene conduct in a public place.
- Window peeping or engaging in illegal occupations.
- Jostling or unnecessarily crowding people in public.
- Loitering in places where illegal business is conducted.
MCLA 750.167a: Hunting While Intoxicated
Being drunk or intoxicated while hunting with a firearm is a disorderly person offense. Conviction results in confiscation of the weapon and a 3-year ban on applying for a hunting license.
MCLA 750.167d: Disturbance of Funerals
Making loud noise or intimidating gestures within 500 feet of a funeral, memorial service, or burial is a serious violation of the disorderly person statute.
