Fee Categories & Costs
Category 1: Point Accumulation
Annual fees for drivers with 7 or more points:
- 7 Points: $100.00
- 10 Points: $250.00
- 15 Points: $500.00
- (Increases $50 per point)
Category 2: Specific Offenses
Annual fees for major violations:
- OWI (Intoxicated): $2,000.00
- OWVI (Impaired): $1,000.00
- Suspended License: $1,000.00
- No Insurance: $400.00
Payment & Records
You can check your driving record at www.michigan.gov/sos. Fees are payable to the "State of Michigan" and sent to the Department of Treasury in Lansing. Installment agreements are typically available for fees exceeding $500.00.
